- My name is Scott Abbott, I have been into photography for as long as I can remember. My photography career started out when I was in school, I entered the reflections photography contest, and for six years in a row I got grand prize. Later I became one of the year book photographers at Viewmont High School. At the University of Utah I majored in News Editorial/Photography, during 2 years of my time there I was a photographer for the Daily Utah Chronicle. After I graduated from the University of Utah I applied for jobs at many of the local newspapers. I was hired on at the Deseret News in 2006 and have been working there as a Photo Tech ever since. While working there I have had the chance to get some of my work published in the newspaper. I have also been working as a wedding and portrait photographer. Along with doing weddings and portraits I do a lot of nature photography which is my true passion.
